Former president Jacob Zuma will be back in the Pietermaritzburg High court next week Wednesday. Zuma's trial was YESTEDAY postponed to give the defence time to bring an application for the recusal of lead state prosecutor - advocate Billy Downer. Zuma and co-accused French arms manufacturer Thales face charges of corruption, fraud, money laundering and racketeering. The charges are linked to the multi-billion rand arms deal in 1999.

A 50-year-old educator at Mbilwi Secondary School, will TODAY appear before the Thohoyandou Magistrates Court for allegedly raping a learner. The Limpopo teacher allegedly violated the 17-year-old school girl three times in 2018. He was arrested on Friday after the Human Rights Commission opened a case against him. The girl approached the commission and disclosed what happened.

Efforts are underway to save the Cango Caves - in Oudtshoorn, in the Western Cape. This national treasure in the Klein Karoo suffered huge financial losses as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Oudtshoorn Municipality is in the process of developing an economic recovery plan to try and save the caves.
