The South African Council of Churches has just hosted a media briefing to air their views on the recent spates of church related incidents, in which church members were made to eat grass, drink petrol and eat human hair, snakes and mice. The investigation has been initiated by the Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic communities. This follows various religious practices that have raised eyebrows in the country.
