The 20 EFF MPs have abandoned the Powers and Privileges Committee inquiry into their conduct. They have decided not to be subjected to the Committee, claiming that the committee will be biased as it is made up of mostly ANC Members.

The murder trial of Shrien Dewani, has been adjourned until Wednesday. Dewani today pleaded not guilty to all charges against him in the Western high court in Cape Town. He allegedy arranged the murder of his wife Anni in Gugulethu on the Cape Flats in November 2010. The state will call its second witness when the case resumes.
