Dr. Gerald Horne is an African American historian, author, and Communist who currently holds the John J. and Rebecca Moore's Chair of History and African American Studies at the University of Houston. He received his PhD from Columbia University and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Horne is the author of more than thirty books and one hundred scholarly articles and reviews.
