Check out the song. It's a good song. A line from the song says, "Talk to God and tell Him what I think. At first, He's gonna hate me. But eventually He'll save me. I'm just a long-haired Son of a Sinner. Searching for new ways I can get gone." In this episode, we dive into our messed-up ideas about sonship to God. Many of us think God is gonna hate us for telling him exactly what we think or feel or how we have been wounded. So we buy the lie that God can't handle or doesn't care. We make an agreement with ourselves that He can't be trusted and vow to never be truly who we are with him. Our identity is corrupted by what we think it means to be a son.
