    Imagine growing up without a father. Maybe you did. Perhaps through divorce, absence, unfortunate death, or maybe your father was present but was more abusive than fatherly. Every day, we witness the growing number of fatherless homes and the profound impact it has on young men. In this episode we invite our buddy, Luke, to tell his story. His father passed away when Luke was 8 years old. He understands what it is like to grow up fatherless. And yet, God has turned his brokenness into a burden. His loss to a passion. It has been said that God can take our brokenness and turn it into beauty. Join us as we talk about becoming a father to the fatherless by allowing God to use our hurt for His glory.

    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government.
    So let me ask you a question. Who governs you? Perhaps your independence has become destructive. Perhaps it is time to abolish it and trust in a new way to be governed. John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." All men struggle with being dependent on God. We take pride in our independence. Yet true freedom is only found in dependence not through independence. Join us as we talk about the struggle of dependence as we celebrate our independence.

    Hard questions can be like bombs dropped. You can't prepare for them. A sudden question asked might explode and cause damage or reveal the truth. A question might cause you to rethink everything you do. It might make you get past the easy answer to discover the real answer. That's why we do episodes called "Naked Adam". We ask unscripted questions to guests and allow the questions to bring out transparency. Sometimes the answers are helpful and sometimes they are hard.   • Baggage
    Over 2 Million pieces of baggage get lost per year by airlines. That's a huge number. Maybe it's time to lose some of yours. Baggage can also be intangible things (such as feelings, circumstances, or beliefs) that get in the way. Men are so good at holding on to baggage. And our baggage gets in the way of what God wants to do in our lives. Honestly, most men like their baggage because they have been carrying it for so long that it has become part of who they are. Right or wrong it gives us identity. We need to take a lesson from the airlines and loss it. I wonder how many pieces of baggage you have? Perhaps your baggage is so full there is no room for anything else. The less baggage you have, the lighter the journey. Join us as we reveal our baggage.

    Men, word to the wise. If you have kids get your wife a Mother's Day gift. I made the mistake one year of telling my wife I didn't get her anything because she wasn't my mom. Ya, that didn't go over so well. This episode we dedicate to the Eve's in our lives. The women that help make us better. When God made Adam he said, it was not good for man to be alone. So he made Eve, a helpmate. The name Eve comes from a Latin and Hebrew origin, meaning "life". Join us as we talk about what it means to have a helpmate and how they truly bring us life.

    Winter's Death. It does not hit you until later. The fact that you were essentially dead does not register until you begin to come alive. Frostbite does not hurt until it starts to thaw.
