Showing Appreciation Through Obedience - As a son and daughter show respect to their parents through obedience, we are also to respect our heavenly father through obedience. The act of submission in obedience is a sign of respect that is a human quality as well as a Godly behavior.

The Eternal Impact of Obedience - Our obedience to follow God's direction can have ripple effects throughout history. We might not have positions of royalty, but our choices can affect our families and local communities' future and direction. Will you remain diligent to how and where God is leading you, and choose to remain obedient?

Obedience Requires Faith - Be strong and courageous do not be afraid or discouraged. We can receive confidence from God's promises, but relying on these promises requires faith daily. Will you choose to trust God through obedience this week and in the future?

Obedience In The Unusual - When God speaks to us to go where He leads, it's often not in the direction or way that we expect, and it's often not a well-paved path. God may call us to go to dirty places, and our obedience to follow Him into these places will lead to greater rewards in heaven as well as on earth!

Obedience In The Unknown - Our faith is based on obedience to God's Word and the commands He gives us as followers of Christ. In the Old Testament, we also see obedience from Abraham as the sign of a true follower of God. Abraham wasn't given a road map, like most of us, but God was faithful to walk with Abraham in the same way that He is faithful to walk with each of us.

Pride prevents us from doing a lot of things that we should do. Pride, self-centeredness, egos, all those things continue to get in our way. The biggest problem you have may be the person you see in the mirror. Real prayer comes to God and says "God, I need your help...please mold me into the person You want me to be."
