”As he entered a village there, ten men with leprosy stood at a distance, crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy. One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking Him for what He had done. This man was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And Jesus said to the man, “Stand up and go. “Jesus saw a woman who had been crippled by an evil spirit. She had been bent double for eighteen years and was unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!” Then He touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised God!” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭13‬:‭10‬-‭13‬, ‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When Blind Bartimaeus heard that Jesus was passing nearby, he yelled loudly, “Jesus! Have mercy on me!” People around Bartimaeus told him to be quiet but he yelled even louder until Jesus heard him and called him to come. Then Jesus asked Bartimaeus what he wanted and he replied, “I want to see!” Jesus answered, “Go! Your faith has made you well!” Bartimaeus could see—and he followed Jesus!

When James and John ask Jesus if they can sit by Him in heaven, Jesus teaches that the greatest in God’s kingdom is the servant of all! (Mark 10:35-45)

When parents bring their children to Jesus so He will bless them, the disciples try to send the children away—but that is NOT what Jesus wants! “Jesus said, ‘Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.’“ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭19‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When thousands of people come to hear Jesus preach and watch him heal the sick, Jesus tells his disciples to feed them! Andrew finds a boy’s lunch made of five rolls and two fish and brings them to Jesus. Jesus blesses the food and it multiplies—enough to feed them all with leftovers!

When someone asks Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?” Jesus replies with the story of how the Good Samaritan showed his love for the Jewish man who had been beaten and left for dead by helping him and making sure he was taken care of—even though the Samaritans were considered enemies of the Jewish people!

When Jesus gives His disciples a job—to act as His representatives, He gives them the power and authority to tell people how good God is and pray for the sick! (Luke 9:1-6; Luke 10:1-2,9,16)
