FISH DESSERT: an Iron Chef Japan Podcast

In this BATTLE BLACK PIG, we see chef Sakai take a not-at-all-scripted return to his hometown for some creative inspiration. This knockoff of the movie Godzilla Minus One (which will be released 24 years later) only serves to better prepare him for his challenger: his childhood friend! Friend? Well, more like some guy who happened to go to the same middle school.

In this BATTLE SPINY LOBSTER, we see the youthful head of the oldest Chinese restaurant in Japan go up against Chef Chen. Included: Can you eat sharks? Can you put 2000s Brooklyn bedroom pop in a cooking show? Can we give chefs more agency by putting them in single combat? YES

In this BATTLE SALMON, we watch the very first episode of Iron Chef! Never before heard in English. It is Not Good.

In Battle Porcini, Italian chef Marco Molinari makes French food, Japanese chef Masaharu Morimoto makes Chinese food, and we finally get a look at the fortune teller who scammed a sort of Japanese Henry Kissinger

Introducing: FISH DESSERT, a 5-episode pilot podcast about Iron Chef Japan! In this BATTLE AYU SWEETFISH, we watch Iron Chef Michiba square up against the traditionalist Kandagawa faction.
