Following a spiritual call to ministry, Thomas and his wife Helen. left their jobs to start a church, and one year later he launched Ascent Church in the fall of 2017. The church's namesake emphasizes the believer having not yet arrived, but remaining a work in progress while always in an upward pursuit.
