Marisol Candles is a small business based in Stellenbosch and is owned the sister duo Erin & Mitchel Walls. They started the business in their kitchen for fun, and soon, it took over their entire apartment. The main motto of Marisol is "Celebration & Representation." They believe their candles serve different purposes for those who purchase them; whether it be empowerment, representation or something as simple as it just being a beautiful candle. They take client satisfaction very seriously; they ensure every candle sold is one they would be proud to buy.

Ashwin Arendse is a poet, writer, all round creative, hustler and do’er.
In this episode we’re in conversation with our friend and fellow alumni drama student, Ashwin Arendse, about his debut poetry collection, Swatland. Ashwin is one of the first students to finish his masters degree in creative writing in Kaaps at Rhodes University.
Ashwin is also a pioneer as he uses an Arabic simbol to indicate the rolling 'R' of the Malmesburry venacular in his work. We talked about the magic of simplicity, the beauty of Kaaps, woodworking, dedication and his horse Ameerah. There is also a surprise in this episode – Ashwin recites some of the poems in his poetry collection.

It all started with a challenge that Natalie de Bruyn thought up while at university. Fast Forward 4 years and 101 Cups was born in partnership with one of her customers Kristin Marie! In this episode, the FIVE 2 NINE team goes to Stellenbosch to hear how the idea behind the beautifully painted ceramic cups of 101 Cups came to be. We played games, ate zoo cookies, and appreciated art.
