Real godliness is so woven into a persons character that it is his character: it's what he is. Prick him and he bleeds godliness, shake him and nothing but godliness spills out, he effortlessly and unselfconsciously oozes Jesus. Wouldn't it be so good to be one of those people?

When it comes to those stubborn sins that keep pulling you down, the Bible is very optimistic about your ability to overcome them. Get rid of the defeatist attitude. You are not a slave to sin: you don’t have to go on doing the same sins again and again. That is a lie the devil wants you to believe.

When you walk in the Spirit the power of your desires and passions is broken. You can say no to them.

Christians who walk in the Spirit are thoroughly decent people: nice people, lovely people, attractive people. They're the kind of people you want to be around.

The key to being patient is walking in the spirit.

A calm and peaceful heart is the fruit of walking in the Spirit. That's why Christians are such tranquil, untroubled, unflappable people. Aren't you?
