Merry Christmas to those who celebrate. I know this can be a very difficult time of year for a lot of people. I encourage you to feel your feelings. I encourage you to do what makes you feel good today.
It's been awesome seeing friends grow and persevere through some really difficult times this year. I'm very proud of them and of who they are becoming as well!
Being able to do the things that I read about, or make the personal changes through new information that I receive is something that I have learned to appreciate the most this year. The right to take action on the quality information that you've read, and the leisure to actually let it digest is a difficult space, but also a good place for grounded growth and change.
Having the time to actually think about what you're reading, without the opinions of others at first is so necessary. We are in a space where if we read something, the first thing we want to do is share it, whether that be online or in person. I've had the opportunity to sit with the things I've read, in pensive silence, and it's helped me to not only figure out how this works in my own life, but also how properly to share it with other.
Social media provides us a space where we are able to be in the clouds, but it's not real. Being away has allowed me to get back to being grounded and to really assess a lot of things about who I am and who I want to be in the actual world.
I'm reading parts of Fahrenheit 451 to frame up the end of the year next week.
Just a quick recap of things that have taken place with me over the past week.
I'm taking Monday off in an already short week. I'm very happy to be doing this.
Maybe it's more the fact that I like authors having multiple conversations in my head.
