Flail Forward Podcast

The gang discusses how we attach to character and how that can be done in general. At the end we take advantage of the the discord stage feature to bring an audience member in to the conversation.

We do a sex talk. World building? Mechanics? Lines and Veils? Yep, we talk about it.

Rob tries not to use D&D as an example of what not to do, but fails, because it fundamentally falls short of what players want out of this. (Shocking, we know)

Why are we building our games? What specific problems are we addressing that we feel other games don't address to our satisfaction?

A deep dive on the origins of our game(s).

We talk about Growth Scaling in RPGs! What is it? Is it even needed? How does it manifest in other games? What's a good starting point?

Are the better or worse ways to include it.

Our first episode of the new year, and it's off to a warm start.

Monty joins the crew, bringing in a fresher player's perspective to ground us when we get our heads way up our asses.

Trust us, it happens.

Kavoir - Warms his tiny mechanical hands by the light of rad-glow.

Monty - That place where things are.

What does it mean to be a fan of the players? We don't know but we sure act like we do. Rob joins late, so the stream doesn't start until halfway through. So the first half of this is bonus content that the stream doesn't have. Enjoy!

Kavoir - Cat stole his phylactery. In order to get it back he had to give opinions. He did.
