Floating Roots

what's up friends!

this episode is basically just me having drinks with my good friend steven araico. steven is a ridiculously talented young musician with a good ol heart o' gold. he just released his first single, "Letting Go" with a berry dope music video to go along with it. we discuss his music making process, our past as friends that went to the same high school and where he wants to take his music from here.

(we also get pretty drunk. steven brought vodka. sue us.)

thank you guys so much for checking this out. hope you enjoy :)

what's up friends! again - so sorry for the shitty visuals/audio quality. this time the lapel mic's went out and we had to use the camera audio. we're trying! lmao it'll get better i promise.

this episode is an interview with local musician Jordan Esker of the band Jordan Esker & The Hundred Percent. dude is a real intelligent, real laid-back guy (and his band makes some kick-ass shit.) i had a great time getting into the nitty-gritty of his music, what songwriting means to a songwriter, and why music is as powerful as it is. his band is real, genuinely good indie shtuff. make sure you check out their new album "Fail to Learn." i wish the best to this dude and his whole team.

good stuff, this. i hope you guys enjoy this conversation half as much as i did having it :)

what’s good! welcome to the Floating Roots podcast - a brand new podcast coming from a music blog all about authenticity. this is episode one, i know there’s some shitty camera work and a really boring 5 minute intro, but work with us here :P we’re new to this too :) check the music blog itself, and check up for our next episode with the crazy talented St Petersburg musician, Jordan Esker :)
