Sunday Best: Healthy Spirituality This Sunday we are going to take a closer look at the classic underdog story of David and Goliath asking the question, "How do we live out the life God has entrusted to us? We will discover the truth that our greatness lies in allowing God to use our true selves, faults and all. 

Transfer: New Beginnings Join us this week as we continue our message series, Transfer: Endings, Beginnings, and the Seasons In-between by exploring how to step into the new beginnings the Lord has for us!

Transfer: Baptism This weekend we are celebrating the end of our Transfer series with baptisms. Baptism is a powerful symbol of the new beginning that we experience in Christ. By cheering on this important milestone for our brothers and sisters, we are reminded of our own baptisms and the ways in which God gives each of us new beginnings every day.

SUNDAY BEST: Unhealthy Spirituality This Sunday we are beginning a brand new message series called Sunday Best: Engaging the Whole Soul, Seven Days A Week. Although dressing in our best clothes on Sundays may have gone a bit out of style, we still have the habit of putting on our best selves for church. But God is just as interested in the condition of our souls Monday through Saturday as he is on Sundays. In fact, everyday life is exactly where we practice our true faith—in the way we handle conflict, persevere through challenges, and learn to celebrate with joy.

Transfer: Waiting for Sunrise There are few things in life that I enjoy less than sitting in traffic.Although I’m physically at a standstill, my mind shifts into overdrive trying to identify the fastest lane or using my Waze app to find an alternative route. On the freeways and in life, moments of waiting are frustrating interruptions that delay us from our desired destination. But in the spiritual life, times of waiting can be some of the richest seasons of life. The key to experiencing God in our waiting is to be given the tools to navigate this season well.This week, we are excited to have Sean Kampondeni with us, the lead pastor of our sister churches in Malawi, about what he has learned through his experiences of waiting on the Lord. Not only is Sean a dynamic communicator, but he speaks from his own genuine faith. We are confident that you will be as inspired and encouraged by him.

Transfer:Ending Well Grief is woven deeply into the human life. Mourning loss is something that happens to everyone, but often is not done healthily, or embraced as a necessity. This message is called "Ending Well" and it is a great addition to our series called "Transfer: Endings, beginnings, and the seasons in between".

TRANSFER: Seasons Of Life This Sunday we are beginning a brand new series called “Transfer: Endings, Beginnings, and the Seasons in Between” to explore whether or not it’s possible to gracefully navigate life’s many turns.  Whether it’s the beginning of a new year or the end of a significant relationship, transitions are not only a fact of life but an opportunity to experience God in a new way. 

The Great Why I hope you had a meaningful time of rest and celebration over the Christmas holiday! The beginning of a new year is a chance to start fresh with a full year of possibilities ahead. I don’t know what you are hoping for in 2017—graduating from school, reconnecting with God, starting a new job, or going on a big trip—but you and I have the opportunity for incredible growth by committing to new goals and seeking to make the most of the precious time God has given us.

GIFTED: Givers and Takers This week, we continue our generosity series, "Gifted" taking a look at how to align our vision and priorities with those that God has for us.

ADVENT: The Lens of Peace Even after a cease fire agreement was reached by opposing sides in Syria this week, thousands of men, women, and children are trapped in the city of Aleppo, which has been the center of a six-year long civil war. Governments and NGO’s around the world are calling it a humanitarian disaster. Few of us can imagine our lives surrounded by that kind of turmoil and conflict. For our brothers and sisters in Syria, they cannot imagine a life marked by peace. This week we are continuing our Advent reflections by looking at Luke 2 through the lens of peace. The Christmas story reminds us that Jesus, who is the Prince of Peace, walks with us even in the midst of the war in the world and the war within ourselves. And in a world marked by painful conflict, we pray that Jesus would fill our hearts, and our world, with his peace, on Earth as it is in heaven. I hope you will join me in taking a moment to pray that God’s peace would guard the hearts of the men, women, and children of Syria, even as he guards ours.
