CHURCH IS DEAD: Church is Patriarchal In over 20 years of pastoral ministry I have seen first-hand how the voice and contribution of wise and capable women have been minimized in the name of religious conviction. Women that carry equal weight and responsibility are many times treated as second-class ministers. This week we are going to be tackling one of the topics that I have been most challenged and personally invested in: the perception that the Church is oppressive and discriminatory towards women. I hope you join us as we discover God’s intent for all of his children—his sons and daughters—recognized and empowered to fully thrive.

Church is Simpleminded As we continue to examine the most common objections people have of the Christian Church, we are going to challenge the belief that the Church is simpleminded and incompatible with scientific inquiry. In fact, if we take our belief that God is the Creator of the universe seriously, the Church should be on the forefront of studying and celebrating the intricacies of his creation.

Church is Judgmental This week, we are going to continue our current series exploring the most common objections to the Church by tackling the idea that the church is judgmental. I hope you will join us as we address this critical misconception.

Church is Irrelevant There once was a time where the Church represented the leading edge of social, cultural, and even economic development. Yet somehow, it seems as though the Church and culture are having different conversations altogether. Though the social conception of what the Church is and what it represents may be shifting, we know that God never changes and that his Kingdom is always on the move.

Since 2008, their small team has grown into an incredible movement of faith that is inspiring young people in Malawi to experience God in a whole new way.This year, Flood not only purchased land to build a permanent home in the center of Lilongwe, but also opened the doors to its second Sunday campus in the southern city of Blantyre.Though it was clear when we met him that Sean would be someone God would use in a powerful way, we could have never imagined the ways his story would become a part of the Flood story.We trust that you will be inspired by Sean's faith and vision, just as we have already been.
