Both to be a disciple and to lead others in the same process of cultivating a spirituality that becomes automatic in our lives.

And The Sun Stood Still: Taking A Stand As we wrap up our series "And the Sun Stood Still" this Sunday, we will be looking at one last powerful picture of Joshua and the nation of Israel. The land is settled and this chapter of Israel's history is coming to a close. Yet, Joshua makes a bold declaration that rewinds the story back to the beginning. When we make bold and courageous decisions to honor God in our lives it triggers a release of God's blessing that creates movements that reach beyond our own lives and into the lives of others. 

Baptism For centuries, baptism has been the welcoming ceremony for men and women into the family of God. Though some people may view baptism as a kind of spiritual graduation, it is only the beginning of our life with God and in the community of faith. 

And The Sun Stood Still: Bold Asks Have you ever found yourself praying for a parking spot? Whether it's asking God for a new job, an "A" on an exam, or something as ordinary as finding a parking spot at the mall, we may catch ourselves asking: "Is it okay to even pray for that?" We have often heard that God is not a heavenly vending machine. But in pre-screening our requests, we sometimes limit our view of God. The truth is, all too often, our picture of God is far too small. We forget that the ultimate Creator of the universe happens to be our Dad.  What would our lives look like if we really believed that God not only had the power to do what he wanted, but that he also wanted our lives to be full of joy and peace? This Sunday we are looking at the namesake of our series, "And the Sun Stood Still," where Joshua asks God for an audacious request — to literally stop the sun in the sky. What would it look like if we approached the Lord with our "Sun Stand Still" requests? 

And The Sun Stood Still: The Little Things When things come off the wheels in our lives, we often find ourselves asking, "How did we get here?" Paradoxically, it's often the outsized result of small choices that have made the biggest difference.
