Perry and Shawna talk about how the Lord created us to thrive in our relationships. Jen Coursey joins the team. She’s the Executive Director of THRIVEtoday, a ministry devoted to seeing relationships thrive. Jen is passionate about teaching parents how to thrive in marriage, parenting and all of life through her weekly blog at thrivetoday.org. First Jen talks about the relational skill of quieting: Taking quick bursts of time, or longer moments to reset our thinking, to get back into relational mode, so that we can love well.
Then Jen shares that when we look to God for our peace, we can thrive in our relationships because we’re not looking to those we love to give us the peace that only God can give. Next Perry shares how porn ripped him off as a teenager and Tim Keller explains why porn does that to us, and how we can break free. And finally we have a conversation about why living together before marriage is a rip off as well. It actually increases the chance of divorce once married. No stone throwing here. Just a conversation on how we can thrive when we live life God’s way. Jesus came to give you and me life to the full!
