Flower Child the Podcast was created to serve adult children of addicts and dysfunctional families who are navigating the often unseen impact of childhood trauma in adulthood.
Many survivors grow up believing their coping mechanisms are simply “who they are,” unaware that people-pleasing, emotional shutdown, hyper-independence, and fear of abandonment are survival responses formed in childhood. Flower Child exists to gently bring awareness to these patterns—without judgment—and offer pathways toward healing.
Hosted by trauma-informed advocate Ke’Onda Washington, the podcast blends lived experience, spiritually-based insight, and nervous-system-safe practices to help listeners reconnect with their authentic selves. Each episode is designed to feel grounding, validating, and accessible, honoring the truth that healing does not happen through force—but through safety.
At its heart, Flower Child the Podcast believes this:
This is a space for reflection, restoration, and growth.
A place to bloom after years of wiliting.
Healing doesn’t require reliving the past—only acknowledging it with compassion.
