    Story Transcript:

En: On a gray, cloudy day in Sofia, Ivan sat on the old wooden chair by the window and drank hot coffee.

En: He loved the quietness of his apartment, but this morning the silence was disturbed by meowing.

En: Ivan looked outside and saw a cat rubbing against the bench in the yard.

En: "This must be Elena's cat," he thought.

En: Elena was his neighbor who often traveled, and Ivan looked after her cat when she was away.

En: Without hesitation, Ivan went outside with a can of tuna in his hand.

En: The cat stared at him with big green eyes and meowed.

En: Ivan smiled and opened the can.

En: The cat started eating with a huge appetite, and Ivan watched and felt happy to help.

En: After a few minutes, Elena came out onto her balcony and watched in surprise.

En: "Ivan, what are you doing?" she asked.

En: "Oh, I'm feeding your cat," Ivan replied confidently.

En: "But my cat is here with me in the apartment," said Elena, and at that moment, a fluffy cat appeared on the balcony.

En: Ivan froze and looked shocked at the cat next to him.

En: It was a mistake; the cat didn't belong to Elena.

En: "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought..." Ivan started, but Elena laughed.

En: "It's okay, that cat is a stray and often comes here for food," she said.

En: "I'm sure she's grateful to you too."

En: Ivan smiled with relief, and despite the misunderstanding, the cat turned out to be happy.

En: She continued to meow and rub her head against Ivan's legs.

En: By the end of the day, Ivan felt good.

En: Not only did he help his neighbor, but he also made a new friend.

En: From then on, when Elena was away, Ivan took care not only of her cat, but also of the little stray scoundrel he had accidentally "adopted."
