Sk: V Bratislave, pod starými kamennými základmi, sa nachádza špeciálny bar.
En: In Bratislava, under the old stone foundations, there is a special bar.
Sk: Nebolo tam vidno až tak veľa, len svetlá malých lámp svietili na drevené stoly.
En: Not much could be seen there, only the lights of small lamps illuminated the wooden tables.
Sk: Atmosféra bola plná napätia a rozrušených hlasov.
En: The atmosphere was full of tension and excited voices.
Sk: Marek sedel pri jednom z tých stolov, obklopený pravidelnými hráčmi pokru.
En: Marek sat at one of those tables, surrounded by regular poker players.
Sk: Marek vždy nosil svoje šťastné ponožky, ktoré veril, že mu prinesú šťastie.
En: Marek always wore his lucky socks, which he believed would bring him luck.
Sk: Boli to staré ponožky s obrázkami kartových symbolov.
En: They were old socks with images of card symbols.
Sk: Jeho priateľka Ivana mu často hovorila: "Marek, tie ponožky ti naozaj nepomôžu.

Sk: Nik u stola netušil, že Jozef má na dnešný večer pripravený malý žart.
En: No one at the table guessed that Jozef had a little prank prepared for the evening.
Sk: Počas hry sa Marek zrazu začal hrabať pod stolom, prezerajúc si topánky s narýchlo.
En: During the game, Marek suddenly began rummaging under the table, anxiously examining his shoes.
Sk: "Moje šťastné ponožky!
En: "My lucky socks!"
Sk: " zvolal s narastajúcou panikou.
En: he exclaimed with growing panic.
Sk: V hlave mu vírilo: bez nich prehrám, bez nich som v koncoch.
En: In his head, it whirled: without them, I'll lose, without them I'm finished.
Sk: Všetci pri stole si to všimli, dokonca aj Ivana, ktorá sa zasmiala nad absurdným obavami Mareka.
En: Everyone at the table noticed, even Ivana, who laughed at Marek's absurd worries.
Sk: "Marek, pokoj," hovorila.
En: "Marek, calm down," she said.
Sk: "Vieš hrať aj bez nich, dôveruj si," dodala s úsmevom.
En: "You can play without them, trust yourself," she added with a smile.
Sk: Jozef, ktorý sedel vedľa, sa musel premáhať, aby nevybuchol smiechom.
En: Jozef, sitting next to him, had to hold back from bursting into laughter.
Sk: Samozrejme, práve on ukryl Marekove šťastné ponožky, aby videl, či naozaj neverí vo svoje schopnosti.
En: Of course, it was he who had hidden Marek's lucky socks to see if he truly doubted his own abilities.
Sk: Teraz sa díval na Mareka, čakajúc, ako rozhodne.
