Sk: Ján stál pred dverami nemocnice.
En: Ján stood in front of the hospital doors.
Sk: V ruke držal darček.
En: He was holding a gift.
Sk: Každú návštevu pre svoju sestru Petru vždy niečo priniesol.
En: Every visit to his sister Petra he always brought something.
Sk: Bola to jeho potreba ukázať jej, že nie je sama.
En: It was his need to show her that she was not alone.
Sk: Vonku bol sneh, ľadové vločky jemne dopadali na zem.
En: Outside there was snow, icy flakes gently falling to the ground.
Sk: Pätnásť minút čakania sa zdalo nekonečných.
En: Fifteen minutes of waiting seemed endless.
Sk: Nakoniec sa dvere otvorili a on vstúpil do klinickej miestnosti.

Sk: Pomáhaš mi viac, než si myslíš," povedala.
En: You're helping me more than you think," she said.
Sk: Jej hlas bol tichý, ale pevný.
En: Her voice was quiet but firm.
Sk: Sadli si oproti sebe a začali sa rozprávať.
En: They sat opposite each other and began to talk.
Sk: Petra vedela, že jej brat je vyčerpaný.
En: Petra knew that her brother was exhausted.
Sk: Vedela, že mu je ťažko rozparcelovať čas medzi ňou a rodinou.
En: She knew it was hard for him to balance his time between her and his family.
Sk: "Nechcem, aby si tu bol zbytočne dlho," povedala.
En: "I don't want you to be here unnecessarily long," she said.
Sk: "Tvoja rodina ťa potrebuje.

En: He felt as if a heavy curtain was lifted from her.
Sk: "Budeme to robiť inak," povedal nakoniec.
En: "We'll do things differently," he finally said.
Sk: Petra súhlasne prikývla.
En: Petra nodded in agreement.
Sk: "Nechcem, aby si stratil rovnováhu.
En: "I don't want you to lose your balance.
Sk: Postaráme sa o to spolu.
En: We'll take care of it together.
Sk: Možno raz za mesiac prídete všetci.
En: Maybe once a month you all come.
Sk: Urobíme si malý rodinný deň.
En: We'll have a little family day."
Sk: "Vtedy Ján pocítil úľavu.
En: Then Ján felt relief.
Sk: Vedel, že to bude správne.
En: He knew it would be right.
Sk: České Vianoce už síce prešli, ale Nový rok sa zdál novým začiatkom.
En: Czech Christmas had already passed, but the New Year seemed like a new beginning.
Sk: "Áno, to by bolo fajn.
En: "Yes, that would be nice.
Sk: A ty nám budeš každý deň písať, ako sa máš," dodal s úsmevom.
En: And you will write to us every day about how you're doing," he added with a smile.
Sk: Petra sa rozžiarila.
En: Petra beamed.
Sk: Cítila podporu, vedela, že nie je sama.
En: She felt supported, knowing she wasn't alone.
Sk: Ján a Petra si navzájom sľúbili, že sa budú podporovať a rešpektovať aj svoje potreby.
En: Ján and Petra promised each other that they would support each other and respect their own needs.
Sk: Vonku mrzlo, ale v srdci týchto súrodencov sa rozvíjalo teplo.
En: Outside it was freezing, but in the hearts of these siblings, warmth was developing.
Sk: Niekedy stačí len jednoduchý rozhovor a plán, aby sa všetko zlepšilo.
