As a Cause Mapping® Root Cause Analysis Investigator and Instructor, Mark has been facilitating incident investigations and teaching workshops on root cause analysis for more than 20 years. His work spans several industries including manufacturing, transportation, aerospace, IT, healthcare, and more. Before starting ThinkReliability, he gained practical experience in root cause analysis and work process reliability at Dow Chemical Co., where he worked for nearly nine years. He obtained his certification as a Reliability Engineer in 1993 through the American Society for Quality and is a regular presenter at national conferences.

Dries Van Loon is Sales and Project Manager, Online Condition Monitoring, for Fluke Corporation, with 10 years of experience in predictive maintenance. He joined PRUFTECHNIK (acquired by Fluke in 2019) in Belgium as an Application Engineer in 2012, and moved to the company’s U.S. office in 2014 to set up a condition monitoring department. His department served all of the U.S. on condition monitoring activities such as proactive maintenance, remote (temporary) monitoring, troubleshooting, and torque measurements. He became a certified ISO CAT 4 analyst in 2017.

Dr. Blache is a past two-year chairman of SMRP (Society of Maintenance & Reliability Professionals) and helped initiate the organization. His most recent book is “The Relativity of Continuous Improvement: Learning How to Work on What Matters.”
