Last night, the Mets won a game in classic Mets fashion, except... by Mets fashion, I mean that this was just about the most Mets way to lose that I've ever seen, except they won! Is it an omen? Are the cruxes and curses finally ready to be lifted from this godforsaken team after all this time in the doldrums?! Please let it be true! At long last, the 2022 MLB season in underway, and not a moment too soon! The Mets have made a habit out of getting off to good starts in April, and they’re doing it again, with a league best 5-2 record after their first road trip. It’s all happening! It kinda feels like this time of year always brings with it a lot of things going on all at once, and this April has been no different. I’m lucky to be able to say that almost all of it is positive stuff, and just overall I feel very excited for the Spring and Summer (it is supposed to be in the 40’s in NYC next week, so I refuse to acknowledge that it’s Spring yet…). It’s been a longgggg, harsh baseball winter, and one that was almost extended even further after the ridiculous team owners initiated a lockout. The good news? The lockout is in the past, the offseason is in the past, and BASEBALL IS HERE! As the season gets underway, I list off my predictions for all things 2022 MLB season. 48. Hours. That's all that stands between us baseball fanatics and the 2022 MLB Season! We've made it through quite the tumultuous offseason, and even though injuries have already begun to show their ugly selves, this is one of the most promising Mets rosters to begin a season in quite some time. Well well well, if it isn't me finally feeling in a place where I can devote more time to the pod again! It's definitely been a little tougher to keep up with things since the move, and I have tried to do my best not to push myself too much to the point where the pod became more of a chore than a wonderful hobby.
