Flushing 411

A mini episode featuring me telling a feel-good story from this past weekend... who's in?! Every now and then, something that is seemingly small and insignificant happens that leaves me reminiscing and feeling in such a great mood, and that's exactly what happened in Central Park this past weekend. It has happened! For the first time in too damn long, I've done a ranking episode that has nothing to do with food! The beautiful month of May has arrived, and with flowers blooming all over the place (yes, even here in NYC), I was inspired to put in a little extra research time and break down my list of some of the most stunning flowers around! After an up-and-down stretch from the 2021 Mets, including an especially meager series in Chicago, it was time to take things alllllllll the way back to the beginning... 2003! In this episode, I tell the tale of attending my first ever Mets game, and how my fandom quickly blossomed from there. Top Bins time! The soccer world was set completely ablaze earlier this week, when the long-rumored European Super League was officially announced, with 12 teams set to join it in the Fall. Just two days later, after incredible amounts of backlash, the league was dead. Dare I say, pandemonium! Wow! This season continues to amaze and impress, as we've now reached just about the halfway mark. Episodes 5 and 6 were packed with all kinds of intrigue and tea, but above all else, what we saw was a major shift in who's running the show and those who looks to be the most likely to take home the glory (and the cash, of course)!
