Does this take the cake as the most hectic episode yet?! It might be up there with that one Bach Cap. Few places are quite as hectic as downtown Manhattan, and that's the latest setting for the Off The Cuff series. So much to discuss that's both unfolding right now, as well as some things that are right there on the horizon. Here's to an episode idea that came out of thin air, and one that involves my mom, the true star of 23 Cents. She and I had the pleasure to take an afternoon checking out the TWA Hotel, tucked neatly into JFK Airport, right outside Terminal 4. These are our thoughts on the experience, the nostalgia of it all, and of course, both of us competing to see who win take home the crown as top rambler. Now THIS should be a heck of a week. The Week 16 NFL schedule is littered with tasty matchups, and by Sunday night, we should have a really good idea as to which teams will be in the thick of the playoff fight, and which... will not be. Sighhhh... just when I thought there was a possibility that I could completely close the gap between Michael and I on the pick battle, I now find myself a whopping THREE wins behind. There's no point in denying the obvious... it's going to take a miracle for me to catch him now! Recording this episode has backfired! Not because of anything I said, because I really enjoyed this one. No no no, this is because my foolish self thought I could just walk all around Queens the day after getting my booster shot, and now I am absolutely fried, grilled, sautéed, and roasted. If you remember the picks competition between myself and Michael starting off in hideous fashion for me, you're remembering correctly. Michael absolutely shellacked me early on, claiming a victory in the first four weeks.
