As this horrific #Flyers season slowly winds down, the only thing intriguing is to watch the kids who are in the lineup tonight against the great #Leafs team, and beyond. Kids like Tippett, York, Cates, and making his NHL debut tonight, Ronnie Attard. And with Attard entering the lineup, the games played streak of Keith Yandle comes to end at 989 games. Congratulations Keith, but it was long overdue! Additionally, do not be surprised to see the likes of #FrozenFour players Bryce Brodzinski, and Bobby Brink join the Flyers soon as well!
After a controversial trade, a majority of #FlyersNation is irate over the return for Claude Giroux. Even the @FlyerandIcePod crew was split. Dan and Nick break down the #NHL trade, and Nick "The Scout" tries to calm the #Flyers fan base down.
Having just played his 1000th game with the #Flyers, Claude Giroux is destined to be traded by Monday's #NHLTradeDeadline. Where will he go? Rumors now have the #NHLPanthers as the favorites? Perhaps this is just to drive up the offer from the Avalanche? Dan and Nick of @FlyerandIcepod discuss the swan song of the CAPTAIN!
The struggling #Flyers cannot build through expensive free agents alone! They have to rely on their draft picks. Today, we feature 3 very productive, collegiate prospects who could be signed for the next NHL campaign. Ronnie Attard out of Western Michigan, Bobby Brink from #UniversityofDenver, and Jay O'Brien from #BostonUniversity.
As our good friend James Roberts mentioned on a recent show regarding the #Flyers, "This is not a rebuild, or retool, but time to Scorch Earth!" With that said, no player on the current roster is safe if another #NHL GM blows you away with an offer. We know Giroux, Risto, Braun, and many other are likely slam dunks to get moved. The #Avalanche have been linked to Giroux for quite some time now. What about guys like Provorov and Konecny? We will discuss our thoughts on these two, and if we think they should stay or go.
With the #PhiladelphiaFlyers season looking like a complete train wreck, we take a break from longer shows, and start a sister show, 2 Minutes For Roughing. These will be quick hitters on various hockey topics. We will have traditional shows closer to the #NHLTradeDeadline, and #NHLPlayoffs. For now, enjoy our thoughts on the 2 underrated Flyers of All-Time.
The #PhiladelphiaFlyers continue to play like bottom dwellers. With the only excitement to look forward to being the #NHLTradeDeadline, we will put our focus on the NHL divisions, and NHL playoff outlooks. We will discuss this and more, and have fun as always in the Penalty Box, honoring #BlackHistoryMonth!
The #PhiladelphiaFlyers current play makes rock bottom look like the mountain top! Does the accomplishment of Keith Yandle breaking the #NHL all-time consecutive game streak bring satisfaction, or is it a reminder of a forgotten year? What should the Orange and Black do at the #NHLTradeDeadline? How about the Press Conference which seemed to secure the future of Chuck Fletcher! We will discuss this and more, and have fun as always in the Penalty Box!
The #PhiladelphiaFlyers continue to bore their fanbase with uninspired, and slow play! COVID clearly played a role, but so does a lack of organizational talent! Bob Clarke came out recently, and ripped Ron Hextall’s drafting of Nolan Patrick. Is it a petty hindsight analysis, or newsworthy? We will discuss these topics and also take a look around the #NHL, in particular the #MetropolitanDivision, and have more Penalty Box fun!
The #PhiladelphiaFlyers resume play out west after a week off hiatus due to COVID. They frankly were outplayed and sluggish, but managed an overtime win against the hapless #SeattleKraken. Then, they were again dominated in play by the #NHLSharks, but garnered a point with an OT loss. Finally, they closed out this week against the #LosAngelesKings, and were outclassed in a 6-3 loss. What will COVID look like for the rest of the season? We will address this and the aforementioned games in our weekly review.
