1. The Corruption Investigation Office for High-Ranking Officials said Thursday that it has transferred President Yoon Suk Yeol’s martial law case to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, to indict Yoon on charges of insurrection and abuse of power in connection with his botched martial law move on December 3.
2. According to data from the Bank of Korea on Thursday, South Korea's real gross domestic product expanded two percent in 2024 from a year earlier, amid slowing export growth, sagging domestic demand and a political crisis.
3. South Korea‘s Foreign Ministry said Thursday that Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul held his first phone call with new U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The two reportedly agreed to maintain close cooperation on North Korea's nuclear issues.
