1. South Korea’s presidential office said Tuesday that Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will embark on a two-day visit to South Korea on May 7th to meet with President Yoon Suk Yeol.
2. According to Statistics Korea on Tuesday, South Korea’s consumer prices jumped 3.7 % on year in April, rising at the slowest pace in more than a year on falling global oil prices. April’s figure is the latest signal that the inflation has receded.
3. First Republic Bank’s 84 branches in 8 different states reopened on Monday as branches of JPMorgan Chase Bank, as regulators sold most of its operations to JP Morgan Chase Bank to stem the spread of the banking crisis in the U.S.
