1. The U.S. Federal Reserve raised its interest rates by 25 basis points on Wednesday, widening the rate gap with South Korea to a new high of 1.75%p. This marks the 10th consecutive rate hike since March last year.

According to the secretary general of Japan’s National Secretary Secretariat, Takeo Akiba, on Wednesday, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said that he decided to visit South Korea to return Yoon's determination aimed at moving toward a future-oriented relationship between South Korea and Japan.
