1.South Korean stocks rose more than 3 percent Tuesday, rebounding from the previous day's massive market sell-off, sparked by fears over a U.S. recession and the sluggish performance of big tech firms. The benchmark KOSPI gained 3.3 percent to close at 2,522-point-15 points.
2.Finance Minister Choi Sang-mok on Tuesday unveiled policy measures for e-commerce vendors. Under the measures, the government will shorten a term of payment by e-commerce platforms to vendors and require e-commerce platforms to separately manage money set to be paid to vendors.
3.U.S. defense officials said Monday that at least five U.S. personnel were injured in an attack against a military base in Iraq, amid rising tensions following last week’s killing of senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah. According to Reuters, two Katyusha rockets were fired at the Ain al-Asad airbase in western Iraq.
