1. The 11th emergency economic and public livelihood meeting took place at the presidential office in Seoul on Thursday. The 80-minute meeting was televised live to outline policies to people to revive the economy.
2. The Gangwon provincial government announced on Thursday that it will repay 205 billion won which is the full amount of the debt guaranteed for Gangwon Jungdo Development Corp. by December 15 this year in a bid to mitigate the effect of the so-called ‘Legoland crisis’.
3. Gunmen opened fire inside a major Shiite holy shrine in Iran on Wednesday, killing at least 15 people and wounding dozens. This happened amid the biggest anti-government movement in over a decade in Iran.
