1. According to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles toward the sea off its east coast on Friday. This comes as South Korea wraps up its 12-day Hoguk military drills.
2. The gross domestic product of the United States rose 2.6% in the third quarter above market estimates, recording the first positive growth rate after two quarters of negative growth.
3. The South Korean government announced on Friday that it will extend the LNG and LPG tax cut for an additional three months to mitigate the pressure on consumers during the winter. This will have the effect of decreasing city gas bills by 1 thousand 400 won per household on average.
