1. The National Assembly on Wednesday began reviewing the South Korean government’s 2024 budget proposal of 657 trillion won, or roughly 487 billion U.S. dollars. President Yoon Suk Yeol delivered a budget speech the day before saying he will stick to a sound fiscal policy next year.
2. The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said Wednesday it has applied for product approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for the world's first recombinant protein-based anthrax vaccine developed to prepare for national crises like bioterrorism.
3. According to the data compiled by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, South Korea's exports increased on-year for the first time in 13 months in October, driven by robust automobile shipments and signs of improvement in the chip sector.
