1. South Korea's Financial Services Commission said Sunday that it will temporarily ban stock short selling until the start of July 2024. The move is effective starting Monday, and comes amid efforts to crack down on illegal short selling by global investment banks.
2. The South Korean government on Monday finalized a blueprint to build a theme park in the reclaimed land of {새만금}Saemangeum by 2026, with private sector investments worth 144-point-3 billion won, or roughly 110.2 million U.S. dollars.
3. The Israeli military claimed on Sunday it has encircled Gaza City and divided the coastal strip into two, as Gaza came under its third total communications outage since the start of the war. Israeli media reported that troops are expected to enter Gaza City within 48 hours.
