1. According to a report by the U.S. Treasury on Tuesday, South Korea has been removed from the U.S.' list of countries to monitor for their foreign exchange policies. This marks South Korea's first exclusion since it was put on the list in April 2016.
2. The environment ministry on Tuesday called off a plan to ban disposable paper cups at cafes and restaurants, while also extending the grace period for another ban on plastic straws at cafes.
3. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol held a summit with Italian President Sergio Mattarella at the Yongsan presidential office on Wednesday. Mattarella arrived in South Korea the day before for a three-day state visit at Yoon’s invitation.
