1. The South Korean government has invoked return-to-work orders for striking truckers in the steel and petrochemicals sectors on Thursday. The strikes have already cost some 2.6 billion U.S dollars of losses to related industries.
2. During a plenary session of the National Assembly today, the parliament passed a bill that requires the use of the international age counting system, rather than the"Korean age" counting system.
3. The United States' Senate and the House of Representatives have reached an agreement on the National Defense Authorization Act for the 2023 fiscal year released Tuesday, as the US Congress reaffirms its commitment to security on the Korean Peninsula.
