1.A spokesperson for the Constitutional Court said Thursday that documents the Court had sent to President Yoon Suk Yeol regarding his impeachment trial were returned and refused for the third time. The court will announce next Monday how the failed document deliveries would reflect in the trial proceedings and consider alternatives.
2.The South Korean currency stayed near its lowest level in more than 15 years Friday as political turmoil continues in South Korea. The won was quoted at 1,451.4 per dollar at 3:30 p.m., up 0.5 won from the previous session.
3.During a UNSC briefing on Thursday, South Korea's Ambassador to the UN Hwang Joonkook said that if artificial intelligence is utilized by irresponsible actors such as North Korea, it could exacerbate the risks of Weapons of Mass Destruction proliferation or advanced cyberattacks.
