1.The opposition-controlled National Assembly on Thursday passed motions to appoint three Constitutional Court justices. The main opposition Democratic Party also submitted an impeachment motion against acting President Han Duck-soo and reported it to a parliamentary plenary session.
2.The South Korean currency continued its depreciation against the U.S. dollar on Thursday, dipping to its lowest level in more than 15 years. The won was quoted at one-thousand-464-point-8 per dollar at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, down eight-point-four won from the previous session.
3.According to local officials, an Azerbaijan Airlines flight with 67 people onboard crashed Wednesday near the Kazakhstani city of Aktau, killing 38 people and leaving 29 survivors.
