We finish up our 3-part series on worship, by looking at Psalms 111 and discussion six more terms for worship mentioned in the Bible. God gives very specific directions on what worship is and how He expects His people to worship Him. As we usher in this new year, lets commit ourselves, as priests and kings for His Holy Kingdom, to properly worship God His way.

We continue looking at examples of worship during the coming of the Messiah to show us how we are to worship God. We look at Simeon and Anna, two individuals who were active worshippers, and learn from their response to being in the presence of Jesus Christ. As we prepare of the new year, our worship needs to be more than lip service, but an attitude and activity, for God is worthy of our worship.

The pattern throughout history is that prior to God releasing the wrath of His Holy anger through judgment, He reminds us of Who He is and where He sits. Isaiah saw the vision of The Almighty before declaring the judgement from Assyria and Babylon. Ezekiel saw His Glory prior to declaring judgement on God's people. Daniel saw The Ancient of Days on the throne prior to God's message of destruction to all the systems of humanity that rise in rebellion. For one final time God invites us to remember. We see the throne, we are reminded of His holiness, then we watch Him bring to fulfillment each and every thing He said He would in the destruction of sin and the elevation of His Kingdom.

Christ has finished His letters to the churches and now invites John up to the throne to see where the Almighty, Alpha & Omega dwells. What John sees sets the stage for the reason enduring, persevering, non-compromising, and avoiding idolatry are worth it - even in the midst of persecution.
