Continuing to set the stage of the birth of the church in Rome. Who was Rome, what was Rome, why was Rome. And how this environment served as the birthplace of the Body of Christ.

We continue setting the stage for this unveiling letter to the Body of Christ by understanding the suffering and persecution followers of Christ were experiencing from the governing state of Rome.

One of the reasons the book of Revelation is seems so "hard," "confusing," or "difficult," to understand is because we don't spend enough time reading, studying, understanding the Old Testament books! Of the 404 verses in the book of Revelation, more than half of them make some allusion to the Old Testament. John, through the Holy Spirit calls our attention to the prophets for a very special reason.

With so many varying opinions, sermons, spiritual-help books, etc., out there how does a person really decipher how to please God? The Bible has over 600 laws and the Hebrew leaders broke those down into thousands of sub-laws to follow. In Micah 6, God summed up what He required from humanity into three things. Learn with us as we see the three things we need to be good in the eyes of God, and to do what He has required of us.

As we wrap up our last installment to the "In Order to Believe" series on the Gospel of John, we see how the Holy Spirit guided John to finish up this masterpiece. The focus is on love, obedience, following Christ as life's priority, and restoration in failure.

Hebrews 12. In the preceding chapter the author of Hebrews gave his audience a brief history of ancient examples of believers enduring suffering and preserving in faith. He used these OT saints for encouragement to the believers that were presently going through tribulation.

What is a Father? When we see God as Father in the Scripture it is tied to Him being our Redeemer, restoring the relationship we violently ended when we rebelled against His Authority as Creator, Yahweh. As God has embodied the Ultimate example of Fatherhood from eternity past, this Father's Day, we look at characteristics of God, Our Father from Isaiah chapter 63 and challenge the Body of Christ today to reflect these qualities in their lives.
