These were insane times for the disciples: (1) divisions among religious leaders as they were plotting to kill their leader, (2) political chaos as zealots were rioting in the streets, (3) the government was dictating outrageous laws and regulations as the Romans were strengthening their grip, (4) even friends were getting sketchy as Judas awkwardly left mid-dinner, (5) Jesus just told them He was about to leave and they couldn't follow Him, etc., (*Does any of this sound familiar???*). Jesus, knowing their anxiety, stress, and fear told them how to overcome this during these insanely difficult times.

In honor of Father's Day, we look at how the Scripture reveals God as Father at Pastor Olu's home church, Calvary Evangelical Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Virginia where Dr. Allen McFarland serves as the Senior Pastor.

We look at John chapter 13 and see how Christ described His love in sacrifice, humility, and identity.
