Doctrine of the Church | Unity and Humility in Christ The Body of Christ is a community of believers, gifted to serve one another in love, upholding the truth of God's word. Join us as we continue our study on the doctrine of the Church.

The "Bad News" that corresponds to the "Good News" of the gospel message is.... that all humanity is in direct rebellion to an All-Mighty, All-Knowing, All-Present Creator God. From Adams choice of "My Way" versus "God's Way" we have lived in darkness within and without by disrupting God's original designed order with our "My Way" rebellions. Christ who condemns us also provided the rescue plan that is able to deliver us from the power of darkness.

The Church is above all things the Body of Christ, his hands and feet in this world. There is no hierarchy, no pyramid schemes but a body of equally important members each gifted and enabled by the Holy Spirit to serve one another in love.

God’s plan from all eternity was to have a people, a people with whom He would fellowship with and bestow all of his blessings to, and through them expand his heavenly kingdom to this realm. Join us as we continue our study on the doctrine of the Church.

The love, commitment, and fellowship that existed from eternity past between God the Father, God The Word, and God the Holy Spirit sets the stage for understanding God’s love, commitment, and desire for fellowship with us, His creation. This is the basis for the precious value levied upon the life of humanity and gives the foundation for the elaborate plan of redemption that God initiated before the foundation of the world - a plan to transform us from darkness to light.

The source of life, both physically and spiritually is Jesus Christ whom the Apostle John refers to as "The Word." As the Giver of life He demands our worship, our praise, and our obedience. Pastor Olu says that This truth requires a response from a world still living in disobedience under the wrath of God. They need to know where their life comes from in order to believe.

As believers, the magnitude of our worship needs to reflect the magnitude of The Life Giver, who not only provided the breath, the life in this physical world but also the life free from sin and death in the spiritual world.

The Christian faith is an abiding, continuing, present tense faith, and not a one time event. Abiding in Christ we must persevere in the faith to the end, and run the race that is set before us, join us as we conclude on our study on the Doctrine of Perseverance.

Welcome to the Followers of the Way Podcast for July 21st 2019. Last week in our new series in the Gospel of John and this salvation provided to us, John brought our attention to God, the Almighty Being who existed before time began. God who exists in the Person of the Father, and God who exists in the Person of the Word, Jesus Christ the Messiah. Today we look at verse 3 in the first chapter of John’s gospel where we see that all creation exists from the Word of God. We discuss how the order, design, fine tuned aspects, and information that is evident in our universe demands an Intelligent Designer and how the Biblical Christian worldview gives a logically consistent view of Who that is. So grab your Bible and follow along with us, as we explore God's Word, here on Followers of the way.
