Bro Omar teaches us that Sin (Or all unrighteousness) is a state of being. He says that the righteousness that we once had in the garden was lost when Adam and Eve sinned. He also reminds us that there is no human remedy for sin and since we as humans are corrupt, we cannot fix the situation of sin on our own.
Pastor Olu tells the story of King Antiochus IV Epiphanies- a Hellenistic Greek king who Daniel was warned about through prophecy.
Bro Omar reminds us that when we are born into this world, we are all born as sinners with a heart condition. He reminds us that the only way to to recover from this condition is by the Grace of God and by accepting his free gift of Salvation.
Pastor Olu teaches us that through the story of Daniel, God is telling us that He is not shocked or shook by things that happen to us like sickness pain and chaos. Pastor Olu says that as followers of Christ we know that because of God's love and care we will make it out of such situations.
Bro Omar teaches us what "Sin" is. Bro Omar says that "sin is not a mistake that we make but it's deliberate and intentional disobedience to what we understand is right."
Pastor Olu teaches us about the different prophesies and the different things that went on in each Kingdom during Daniel's time. Pastor Olu says that All of these prophecies are recorded in the Bible to let us know that God's providence dictates all of the things that went on in each Kingdom. Pastor Olu says that God is ALWAYS in control of all things and he is the one who gives dominion to those that are in power. So because of this we should rest in God and trust Him even when things look bad.
Bro Omar brings part 4 of his message called "Statement Of Faith - Doctrine of Man". Bro Omar teaches us that outside of Christ there is no purpose for mankind to exist. He says that we as humans are defined by the purpose that God has created us for. Bro Omar also says that Mankind is a servant to God and anything we do in our lives that is according to God's word, is God's work!
Our very own missionary Orlando Otarola from Costa Rica will be bringing a message called "From Monument to Movement". Bro Orlando say that God has called us as Christians to be a movement with the aid of the Holy Spirit, not a monument to be pretty and admired. Brother Orlando says that the church is called to be active and influential in the world not passive and lazy. So grab your Bible and follow along with us as we explore God's word, here on Followers Of The Way.
