Fall foliage fans are finding Vermont's Waybury Inn by the busload. Others are two-wheeling in on cycling tours. For those who are lucky enough to make the Champlain Valley their year-round home, the magic happens nightly in the Waybury's dining room and pub. Chef Antonio Petri is rolling out a new autumn menu with hearty dishes like butternut squash ravioli, house-smoked pork, beef from Cornwall Cattle Company and local vegetables and fruit. All the baking is done in house from breads to rolls to scones and muffins. Tony and Bruce talk about fall all the way to the holidays in this episode.

Here's a new word for you to describe a contest: TREBEKIAN. That is how the 2026 Great North American Maple Pie Contest was described after it was all over in the Green Mountains of central Vermont in the little town of North Chittenden. There was pie. There was maple. And it was all so Vermont-y. We knew what we were in for before it started as we talked with one of the founders of the Contest, Jacob Powsner who is part of the Baird Farm, the home field for this contest. What does the chicken say? We hear from the cows talking about the chicken but never from the poultry itself. So we asked. And the chicken said, "Keep On Cluckin!" They are all about the cluckin' chicken at the Rollin' Rooster in Vermont. Nicole and Scott were at the recent Foodaroo. The Dog? Your Food Dude and fam tried out some amazing hot dogs from Snap-O-Razzo. Jalapeno and Big Beefys were on the menu. You remember that 70s Yacht Rock classic by England Dan and John Ford Coley, right? The title was "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight" but just before they sang the title, there was this misheard lyric, a "Mondegreen." John Ford Coley is still touring and played Misquamicut, Rhode Island this summer, just up the coast from whats-her-name. And we talked about food. Sometimes it was the only way he knew what town he was playing in! Before that, Chef Kevin DiLibero of Newport, RI talks about a summer food festival that is shaping up to be the taste of the summer. There was a song about West End Girls and the boys from another part of town, wasn't there? This is about the girls and boys who grew up to Make Food Their Business. That's the buzzword at Hope & Main, the groundbreaking foodservice incubator in Rhode Island that has expanded to Providence - the west end of town in fact. The all new, state-of-the-art West End Kitchens is just opening its doors to launch 25 food businesses. We find out about these new tastes with Lisa Raiola, director of Hope and Main, the director of Member Success, Mike Mowry and the director of Incubation, Martha Perez-Barton.
