There are two ways we tend to go to avoid persecution. Both result in the same thing--becoming worthless.

Is salt and light verbal witness or the way we live-

Salt had a lot of uses in Bible times. Which one did Jesus have in mind when he said we are the salt of the earth-

1- Why does God allow himself to be mocked--2- What if you only receive mild persecution- Will you still get a prophet's reward--3- Aren't the reward crowns that we will lay down at Christ's feet--4- Why did Jesus say we can't follow him unless we hate our father and mother--5- How can someone count the cost of following Christ without knowing the future-

Sometimes being motivated by rewards is evil. Other times it's good. The difference is what kind of reward you value.
