T.G.I.F. Fun show today, with an atypical amount of callers. We talked Welsh Rarebit and peach butter and spumoni and custard.

The Grocery Goddess (aka Nicole Dorignac) calls in to talk about the state of grocery shopping in this strange new world. It is also National Vanilla  Ice Cream, and we talked ice cream trucks and also festoons of cheese, as well a Robert Parker, wine writer extraordinaire.

We talked about peach butter and great Mexican bakeries with Stan Meadows, calling in from Oletha, Colorado. And we talked about mangoes and bananas and other fruits, including durian. Tom, who loves stinky cheese, found durian too foul.

Rock Rapashayev called in to talk about his roots in Georgia (the country) and how he came to be the new proprietor of Neely's Pizzeria in Mandeville. And we talked about junk food and Ernest Hemingway..

Chef Diva from Diva Dawgs, also known as Ericka Lassair, calls in to talk about her upcoming appearance on Kitchen Queens of New Orleans on Channel 12 this Saturday and Sunday. And we talked about lollipops and fortune cookies and our weekend trip to the Jourdan River Steamer.

The subject was anniversaries. The Food Show turns 32 tomorrow and we reminisced with callers, including Stu Barash, who met his wife on the show 16 years ago. And we talked Mr. B's who celebrates 41 years today. And parsley, which is not celebrating a birthday or anniversary.
