Welcome back to another episode of Foodie Friends!

We like to keep it light and upbeat around here, but we also like to have harder conversations, too.   If you've been here for awhile, you know Jane and I have covered the topic of mental health, shared our own health journeys, and delved into the correlation between our physical and our mental health. 

Today our special guest is Dawn Ford, a loss and wellbeing specialist, who helps people discover their own resilience after loss.  And the loss can be anything -- not just the grief of losing a loved one, but the loss of a career, marriage, health, the life someone wanted to live but isn't. 

The truth is we all, at different points in our life, walk through grief.  And Dawn is that ear, that shoulder, that impartial person people can reach out to for encouragement and support. 

Just listening to Dawn's voice is enough to bring you a sense of calm.  She is truly a special person and this is an incredibly special episode.

Welcome back for another episode, Foodie Friends!

Oh boy, do we cover it all in this episode!  From Springing forward (which no one seems to like on EITHER side of the pond), spice cupboard clean outs (and fun ways to repurpose spice jars) to a Sunday women's retreat complete with hormonal yoga and a fire pit to sour foods (and Lisa's grandmother's favorite sour drink) and Jane's latest visit to the theater which took a turn down a totally different lane of conversation.

CORRECTION:  Still Alice is a novel based on the real life story of Alice Howland, a linguistics professor at Columbia, and how she and her family lived through her diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer's.

Welcome back to another episode of Foodie Friends!

This week we're chatting with Heidi of Eat, Sleep, Live Herefordshire!  She and Jane are great friends, and it was fun hearing more about life in Herefordshire and all it has to offer in the way of food and drink and travel.  And, trust us,  it offers a lot!!

Did you know the UK produces the most apple cider of any country?  AND, Britain drinks more cider than the rest of the world combined? Nope, neither did we!! Well, maybe Jane knew, but it was definitely news to me!

If you're planning a trip to the UK, you absolutely must add a visit to Herefordshire!  Grab a pen and take notes of all the fabulous places to eat, drink and stay!   I've already got my list......so I'll see you there!!  We'll meet up in a pub with Jane and Heidi over cider and plenty of crisps!
