Everybody is sad, most of all Monica as Chandler must spend Christmas and New Years in Tulsa, where his staff is all depressed they can't be with their families. He arranged for head office to send a bonus, but even that's another bummer: donations in their name to the New York ballet. After reminiscing about Christmases spent with the Friends, he sends everyone home anyway. Only the second in the hierarchy, Wendy, stays. Monica gets jealous when she calls Chandler, and also starts reminiscing about romance with Chandler, who ends up making a snap decision of surprising magnitude...

Rachel is ready to start hanging out again and concludes that she is tired of waiting that something happens between she and Ross. So Rachel and Phoebe decide to go out one night to a bar. Chandler and Joey have two tickets for the Knicks that night but Chandler lies to Joey saying he isn't coming to New York, because he prefers to spend the night with Monica who doesn't know anything about the Knicks' game. When Chandler arrives from Tulsa, Monica is waiting him wearing a sexy lingerie. Problems start when Joey sees that Monica is behaving suspiciously and wearing sexy lingerie and Joey suspects that Monica has a man inside the apartment and is cheating on Chandler. Joey calls Chandler telling that maybe Monica is having an affair and he should come quick. Meanwhile, Joey tries to manage the situation with a baseball bat. Chandler hides when Joey enters looking for Monica's lover. While Rachel and Phoebe are in the bar, Ross and Mike will spent the night at Ross's apartment, drinking...

Its Thanksgiving Day (again) and Amy, Rachel's middle sister, shows up to spend the night with her friends. Amy is a materialist and insensitive girl, who hasn't even congratulated Rachel for Emma's birth. She asks Rachel if she can spend the day with her. Rachel agrees but knows the dinner will be a nightmare because Amy won't connect with Emma or with Rachel's friends. She's also a big-mouth who remembers Ross as a crazy guy who had a crush for Rachel, and remembers Monica as a fat girl who always was following Rachel. Before dinner, Amy comes up with a festive dilemma: if Rachel and Ross die, who will care for Emma? They tell Amy that if something like that occurs, Monica and Chandler will care for Emma. Amy gets mad with Rachel and Ross, arguing that she has never been a good sister with her. The discussion continues at dinner, where another issue begins: Monica's new china. Nobody is allow to damage Monica's china, who asks them all to be gentle with it. However, the discussion ...

Joey has earned too much money to keep hiding it in his bathroom, so Monica suggests investing in real estate, such as Richard's apartment which is for sale; Chandler accompanies him, and they find a videotape marked "Monica". After some coaching from slick ideal daughter-in-law Rachel, Phoebe has her first dinner with boyfriend Mike's classy parents and some boring acquaintances, but despite a phony British accent she's too much herself not to shock and disgust, yet Mike sticks with her, and more. Ross is the first to get baby daughter Emma to really laugh, but Rachel is shocked to hear he did it by singing a rap song about big buttocks; nevertheless, she's more envious.

Phoebe feels really bad because she meets her ex David, the scientist who moved to Minsk, behind Mike's back. Chandler feels threatened when he finds out that Monica thinks her colleague Jeffrey is about the funniest man she knows. After interviewing candidates as nanny for baby Emma, Sandy is obviously ideal, a natural to work with children, including instant fan Joey, with one single flaw: Ross can't handle it's a he, and not even gay.

Phoebe plans her birthday dinner, but only the ever hungry Joey is on time. Phoebe holds a table for six for over an hour while the waiters want them to move as party of six is waiting. Chandler was unable to resist smoking again when everybody else did during a meeting at his Tulsa job, which makes Monica furious. However she's determined to have sex on the last ovulation day in her monthly cycle. Rachel and Ross locked themselves out before his mother Judy arrives to babysit and Rachel's absurd baby disaster fantasies reach new heights. By the time everybody arrives at the restaurant Phoebe is totally fed-up, while Joey could eat a herd of horses, and gets surprisingly close...

By commending her slick flirting, Ross accidentally makes Phoebe realize that she's never had a serious long-term relationship, so she breaks down in tears and gets obsessive about her present date, Mike Hannigan. Ross talks to Mike, inadvertently making him wary. For once, Joey is picked up by a girl, Hayley, who thinks he's inexperienced at dating, but at her oddly familiar apartment he feels sure he's dated her already. Joey is shocked she could have forgotten about 'always memorable' sex with him, until he notices her roommate Poppy. Monica flies to Tulsa to surprise Chandler, but outside his hotel room hears him excited, apparently about sharks. Dating expert Rachel assures her that men have have the weirdest turn-ons, so she treats her man to a shark nature documentary.

Joey and Phoebe are planning to have a dinner in a restaurant and they arrange to get dates for each other. Looking at his address book, Joey finds out that he only has only girl's telephone numbers. He promises Phoebe to find her a male companion for that night. At the Coffee House Joey simply shouts the name "Mike" in order to see if someone responds. A Mike responds and Joey tells him the plan. Meanwhile, Monica has been offered a job in a great restaurant. She's afraid of telling Chandler that she wants to take this job, as it is in Manhattan meaning couldn't move with Chandler to Tulsa. Everyone finds out that Ross stills visits his pediatrician, Dr. Genttleman. He even likes to ask for a sucker when he's leaving doctor's office. At the restaurant, things get complicated, because Joey tells Phoebe that he and Mike are friends from the high school leading to much improvisation, but Phoebe discovers that Mike is a total strange. Rachel is home, Emma is crying and Rachel doesn't know what to do. Phoebe and Monica are helping her, but nothing works to calm down Emma. Meanwhile, Chandler is falling asleep at work, because he has been suffering from insomnia. Chandler falls asleep when his boss is asking about who will take a new position in Tulsa. She asks Chandler about it, but as he was sleeping he says yes after waking up, without knowing what is going on. Ross is angry with Joey because of the mix up with proposing and he is ignoring Joey. Meanwhile, Monica calms down Emma, talking to her gently and singing her. Rachel is surprised and Phoebe is anxious to leave. Chandler arrives at Ross's apartment with news for Monica: they're moving to Tulsa. Of course, Monica gets angry but she can't yell with Emma sleeping. Joey tries anything to make up with Ross, even telling Ross that he is allowed to punch him on the face. Ross does try to hit Joey on the face, but he ducks and Ross breaks his thumb, hitting a steal...

Joey bends over to pick up Ross's wedding ring in front of Rachel. In fact, the ring was giving to Ross by his mother, in order to propose to Rachel. Ross is thinking seriously about the matter. However, Rachel thinks that Joey has proposed her and Joey tries to explain her that he only had the ring by mistake. It's too late though, because Rachel has said yes to Joey. Every time he tries to explain, someone enters to the room and interrupts. Monica is talking about trying to conceive a baby to Chandler and they make out in a janitor's room. Jack Geller, hearing all the noises inside, opens the door in order to snoop and sees his daughter and Chandler making out. Phoebe thinks that Ross has proposed to Rachel after she sees Rachel wearing the ring. Ross is confused, because he never has proposed to Rachel.
