After 21 hours, Rachel is finally ready to go to the delivery room; when her daughter is born, she says her surname will be Geller Green. After Rachel decides that neither of the two names (Isabella and Delilah) that she and Ross had been choosing between seems to fit, Monica mentions that she has already chosen the names Daniel and Emma for her future children. Rachel is so taken with the name Emma that Monica happily consents to the baby having it. Janice comes to see Rachel, and says she admires her for her strength to raise the child on her own. Ross and Rachel go to the hospital to have their baby, but it's a long labor. They get stuck in a semi-private room, and many other couples come and go before Rachel is ready to deliver - the last couple being Janice and her new husband. Chandler and Monica decide to start trying to have a baby.

Rachel is getting tired of being pregnant and is in a bad mood, wanting the baby to arrive. The gang are scared of Rachel's temper, but they show great tolerance to her. Joey's big movie premiere is going to take place that night. Everyone except Rachel wants to go, but Estelle tells Joey that she only has one ticket because she sold the rest on Ebay. Monica throws a baby shower for Rachel, but realizes she forgot to invite Rachel's mom and calls her just hours before it begins. However, they promise to be near Joey during the interview, which takes place in the coffee house. There, Joey tells the reporter about his life, while we see some flash-backs of old episodes. But when Joey's about to say something wrong, everyone rushes in and stops him. Then Joey talks about his friends and who could be his best friend.

Everyone is preparing for the 35th wedding anniversary of Jack and Judy Geller. For this event, Monica wants to make the toast instead of Ross, and she's considering talking about the subject of Chi-Chi, the late family dog. Ross goes to tell Joey that he doesn't hate him and Joey promises to never act on his feelings for Rachel because he won't jeopardize his friendship to Ross. But when Ross realizes that Joey really is in love for the first time he tells Joey to tell Rachel. When Joey tells Rachel it is clear that she doesn't feel the same way about Joey and they both start crying.

It's Valentine's Day, and everyone wants to spend it romantically. Monica wonders whether to choose red or black lingerie and gets an opinion from her brother! Phoebe leaves a video tape for Rachel, with a very suggestive title, so she can appreciate the miracle of birth from an extremely graphic point of view. When Chandler arrives he sees the video on the table and reading the title he thinks that is a porn movie from Monica for Valentine's Day. When he sees the video, he is impressed by the scene of a woman having a baby. Meanwhile, Phoebe gives Joey a happy dog for one day, in order to help him with his depression about Rachel's moving.
