Just a light-hearted episode as we enter 2024, I speak on the silly and thoughtful purchases I made last year, reflect on things of course, takeaways, and my excitement for everyone as we take on 2024!!

It all stems from college when I would observe myself and others DRINK so much and I thought..WTF is this for? In this episode, I dive DEEP on why as humans, we are addicted to things like alcohol, drugs, and our phones. Why do we do things that make us not feel like ourselves? Why do we listen to sad music and read thrilling books? Why do we crave these things? I don't have all (or really any) of the answers, but I definitely even challenged myself with my train of thought on this. LMK thoughts!!

Over 2 years in this wild city and I was bound to have a TOUGH week for many of the reasons mentioned in this episode. Don't get me wrong this is the city for me at this time in my life but DAMN it's relentless 😅

Might be biased here, but girl friendships are the BEST. I feel so grateful for the women in my life. #BLESSED

Adulthood is hard and serious and I just want to feel like a kid again sometimes. Is that too much to ask?! I am a chronic planner and I certainly realize that as helpful as it can be, it also adds a lot of pressure/expectations to the direction of my life. Whereas a child doesn't have the capacity to do this...so how nice would it be to connect to the inner child and just LIVE...sounds easy enough, right?

I have moved quite a bit throughout my life this far and I wanted to share my thoughts on what I think of the word "home". What qualities make somewhere a home? How does that change over time? What does home mean to you?

After having a conversation with one of my coworkers she said something that stuck with me and inspired this short rant. I came straight home from work to record this because, with everything going on in the world (let alone people's individual lives), I was reminded how vital it is to discuss these things and ultimately talk about things that are often avoided.

We are asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?" vs. "who do you want to be?". We are conditioned to anchor our identity in the things we do not who we are when we are doing these things. Lots on my mind lately, but encourage you all to stay true to yourself and never shy from being your true authentic self 🫶🏻

Didn't think I would have him on as soon as episode #8, but considering that I spend most of my days with this man it only seemed fit!! For those of you who don't know Dylan and I have been dating for the past geez...4 years. Here he shares a bit about his life, growing up in New York, being the oldest of three, volleyball, and transitioning into finance/work from school. He truly is a remarkable person and I hope you feel the same :)
